Privacy Policy for players
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Os nossos textos legais estão disponíveis em grego e inglês. Esta é a versão em inglês.
This policy explains what data we process about you when you use the JOLE app (app.jolepadel.com and, once available, from Google Play and the App Store), why, who else sees it and how long it stays. It covers everything the app collects, and section 13 also applies to anyone who joins a game from a link without an account. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Greek law.
1. Who is responsible
AUDIVION L.P., 47 Solonos St., Kolonaki, Athens 10672, Greece, VAT EL802838365, GEMI 183697103000. Email: hello@jolepadel.com.
- For your JOLE Player account and for what you do in the app, we are the data controller.
- For what a club records in its own system (bookings, customer record, notes), the club is the controller and we are the processor.
You may address either of us; we will cooperate so that your request is answered.
2. What data we process
Account
- Name, email, mobile number (confirmed once, at registration) and, if you ask to change it, the new number until it is approved.
- The declaration that you are at least 18 years old: when it was made and which version of the terms applied. If you declare that you are under 18, when you declared it. We keep no date of birth or document for this purpose.
- The sign-in methods you have linked (email, Google, Apple, Facebook) with the identifier each provider gives.
- Your player identifier (Player ID), your account's JOLE number, your handle if you set one, the language you chose.

Achievements
- The achievements you ask a club to confirm: the club, the title, the date, the place (1st, 2nd or 3rd) or the distinction, and optionally the category, the teammate you name and the photo you upload.
- The club's decision: the confirmation with the details as it corrected them, or the refusal with its reason, and the revocation of a confirmed achievement with its reason.
- The achievements a club awards you, alone or together with one teammate, and the podium places of a club tournament that has finished, with the photo the club adds.
- When another player names you as their teammate, your name in their request and your answer; and which achievements you have hidden from your profile.
Lessons

- Your coach profile: description, levels, languages, areas, clubs, and if you state them a price per hour and hours.
- Your trader details: business or full name, address, phone, email, the tax identification number with its country, registration number, the compliance statement and the version of the terms you accepted, with their dates, and for the latest approval when, by which member of the JOLE team and how your identity and details were checked.
- The decisions about your application: its status, when each decision was made and by which member of the JOLE team, and for a rejection, suspension or termination the ground in the terms, the reasons (in Greek, and also in English when your app is set to another language at the time of the decision) and when it applies.
- The requests and lessons you are asked for: the student, the club, the time, their note, your answers and the court you state.
- The offers you send on «Ψάχνω προπονητή» (Looking for a coach) requests: the request, the club, the time, the price and your note, and what the player answered.
Community and content
- Whom you follow and who follows you.
- Messages: private conversations, game chats, the group chat of a recurring weekly game, conversations with clubs' front desks.
- Videos, photos and stories you upload, with their files, and the visibility you chose.
- Comments, likes, saves, reactions to and views of stories, tags in posts, live broadcasts you link.
- Reports you make (category, explanation, good-faith declaration, receipt number), videos or creators you hide from your feed, moderation decisions that concern you with their statement of reasons, and your appeals.
JOLE AI
- Your messages to JOLE AI, its replies, and the assignments you give it.
- How many times you use it each month, for the fair-use limits.
- Your answer to the permission for OpenAI («Επιτρέπω» (Allow) or «Όχι» (No)), when you gave it, and for which version of the permission text.
Subscription
- If you have or had a JOLE Player AI subscription (no longer sold): its package, interval, status and period, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Card details never pass through us.
Video feed
ONLY if you turn on the personalised feed, «Προσωποποιημένη ροή» (section 4): which videos appeared and how much of them you watched, likes, saves, shares, "not interested", reports, the topics you chose, and an interest profile by category and creator.
Device, sign-in and security
- Your session: a random key in a cookie, stored in our database only as a hash.
- Sign-in and account-change events. The IP address in them is stored only as a cryptographic fingerprint made with a secret key, not in plain form. This does not make it anonymous: with the key we can check whether a known address appears, so we treat it as personal data.
- The codes we send you: the code itself is stored only as a hash; we keep which email or mobile number it was sent to, when, and whether it was used.
- If you enable notifications, the device's notification subscription and its browser type.
- Where you last opened the app from (installed from the store, installed on your phone's home screen, or in the browser) and when. Not which device.
- Whether your device has given permission for notifications (granted, denied, not asked) and, for each device with notifications, its type (for example "iPhone") and when the last notification was delivered. Only the platform team sees this, to check that notifications arrive; clubs do not.
- The hosting provider keeps basic request logs, with the IP address, for security and fault diagnosis.
Location
When you tap «Χρησιμοποίησε τη θέση μου» (Use my location), and only then, the app asks your device for your location with your permission and sends it once to find the nearest city with courts. The coordinates are not stored; we keep only the city that was found.
Camera and microphone
The app uses the camera and microphone only when you open the camera to take a video or photo, with the device's permission. The capture stays on your device and is uploaded only if you publish it.
Support
Requests you send from «Βοήθεια και υποστήριξη» (Help and support) or by email, and our replies. We do not send their text to automated software-fixing tools or to an artificial intelligence model.
Linking with clubs
When you register, we use your confirmed mobile number to check whether a JOLE club already has you as a customer and show you which ones: you link your record there to your account or tap «Δεν είμαι εγώ» (It's not me). If you later use a JOLE club's digital services with the same confirmed mobile number, your record at that club is linked to your account automatically, so that your games and bookings there show in your account. We make this link, not the club. A club for which you tapped «Δεν είμαι εγώ» is never linked automatically. To have a link that was made undone, write to us. If a club has registered you as its own customer, other clubs do not invite you to their games, neither their front desk nor their JOLE AI, unless you also have your own relationship with them (you have played there or you are a member).
Referral from a partner
Only if you came from a JOLE partner's link and agreed to referral measurement: the partner, the version of the notice you saw, when you agreed, when the account was created, and whether you played a completed game within the measurement period (section 15).
3. Who sees what
- Other players see your card according to the setting «Ποιος βλέπει την κάρτα μου» («Όλοι» everyone, «Φίλοι» friends or «Κανείς» nobody): name, photo, handle, level, side, city, number of games, description. Anyone who sees a game you take part in sees your name and level in the line-up, whatever the setting. Your reliability is seen only by those who have played with you in a game that was not cancelled, and by clubs (below); nobody else, whatever your card setting. When your «yes» to another time counts from your availability or from the times you said you can make (by phone, on a proposal from the club or from JOLE AI), your team-mates see that you accepted, not that the «yes» came from your availability. When you book a court by phone, in the list of clubs to call your team-mates see which clubs all four of you have declared, and first those that one of you has among favourites or in their availability, not who has which.
- JOLE Rating and rankings. Your JOLE Rating, your record (wins and losses in competitive games) and your place in the community rankings are visible to all players in the app, unless you turn off «Εμφάνιση στην κατάταξη» (Show me in the ranking) on the «JOLE Rating» screen; then you have no place in the rankings, and only you see your rating and record. While your rating is provisional you are not in the rankings, and others see only that it is provisional, not the number. Your head-to-head results against each opponent (how many times each of you won) are visible only to you.
- Your posts are seen by the audience you chose for each one. What you publish for Everyone is seen by anyone who opens the app, even without an account.
- Clubs with a JOLE console see what they need for the games played there: name, photo (only when your card is visible to «Όλοι» everyone, as for other players), level, side, reliability. They do not see your availability. When they propose another time that your availability covers, they see only that you accepted, as if you had tapped «Δέξου την ώρα» (Accept the time). They also see whether you have the app installed or open it in the browser, and whether you have notifications on for invitations and messages (only «yes» or «no», not the device and not when you opened the app), so they know whether an invitation will reach your phone. The mobile number and email of your account are not shown in the club's console, unless you gave them to the club yourself. A club's front desk reads the messages you send it and the chat of games played at the club. A club may put its own players into groups so that that club's JOLE AI suggests games among them; only that club uses the groups, other clubs do not see them, and they are not shown in the app.
- In lessons, the club sees your name, the note you write to it in the request and that the lesson was requested from the JOLE app; not the mobile number or email of your account. On confirmation the lesson goes into the club's schedule as a booking, the club has you among its players as when you play there, and the coach learns about the lesson from the club. When the coach has a JOLE account linked to the club, they see your name on their lessons in the app, and your note to the club when the club has given them permission to answer requests; they do not see your mobile number, email or level. Students of the same lesson see the names of its other students; in an open group lesson, anyone who is not in it sees only how many there are. The other students do not see your note to the club.
- In club tournaments, the club sees the note you write for it, the times when you can't play, and whether you agreed to its terms in force. Other players don't see them. Your name in the match schedule, in the pairs the club approved and in the results is seen by every player who opens the tournament, except those with whom you have a block or a «όχι ξανά» (not again).
- The coach assessments you receive are seen by you, the club where the lesson took place and the coach who wrote them; no other player. You can remove any of them from «Αξιολογήσεις προπονητή» (coach assessments); then no one sees it, not even the club. If you are a coach linked to a club, the club sees your account's name, when you linked, the permissions it gave you, which requests you answered yourself and the assessments you wrote.
- Your achievements are seen by other players only after the club has confirmed or awarded them, with the club's name, and only by those who can see your card (the «Ποιος βλέπει την κάρτα μου» (Who sees my card) setting), together with the achievement's photo. An achievement with a teammate also shows on your teammate's profile, as their own card setting allows, with your name next to it; the teammate you name shows only after they say «ήμουν εγώ» (it was me). If you hide an achievement, it leaves your profile, and anyone who sees it on your teammate's profile does not see your name; your name on it is seen only by your teammate and the club. The club you send a request to sees your name, what you wrote, the photo, the teammate you named and whether they answered; not your mobile number or email. The reason for a refusal or revocation is seen only by those who are in the achievement.
- In lessons with an independent coach, the coach sees your name, your photo as your «Ποιος βλέπει την κάρτα μου» setting allows, and the note you write to them; not the mobile number, email or level of your account. Clubs do not see these lessons: when they invite you to a game at the same time, they see only that you are not available, as with any commitment of yours at another club. If you are an independent coach, while you are approved players see your profile and all your trader details except the tax identification number; the tax identification number, the whole application, the record of the check and its decisions are seen only by the JOLE team that runs the platform.
- In «Ψάχνω προπονητή» (Looking for a coach) requests, approved independent coaches of the area who teach the level you ask for see what you wrote in the request, without your name or anything else from your account. The coach whose offer you choose then sees what they see in any lesson with an independent coach. You see on each offer the coach's name, their photo as their own «Ποιος βλέπει την κάρτα μου» setting allows, the club, the time, the price and their note. If you are an independent coach, the player sees your offer with your name and your photo as your «Ποιος βλέπει την κάρτα μου» setting allows.
- The group of a recurring weekly game sees what section 14 says, and anyone who joins a game from a link without an account appears as section 13 says.
- Nobody sees your gender, year of birth, private post-game feedback or your messages to JOLE AI.
4. The personalised feed is your choice
Personalisation builds an interest profile, so it rests on explicit consent and not on legitimate interest. The switch is at Profile → Settings → «Ενδιαφέροντα βίντεο» (Video interests) → «Προσωποποιημένη ροή» (Personalised feed), and it starts off.
- Without a "yes", nothing is written, and the feed is not personalised.
- Withdrawal is one tap and takes effect at once: from that moment nothing new is measured, and what was measured until then, the topics you chose and the interest profile are deleted.
- If you are not signed in, you are never measured.
Regardless of the switch, when you hide a video or a creator, we remember it so that you do not see them again.
5. Why we process it
For each purpose: which data we use, which legal basis we rely on and why it is needed. Where the basis is legitimate interest, we have weighed that interest against your rights, and you can object (section 10). You can withdraw consent whenever you like, without affecting what happened before.
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account and sign-in | Name, email, mobile number, one-time codes, session, and the Facebook or Google photo if you keep it at registration | Performance of a contract | Without them there is no account and no secure sign-in. |
| Games: opening, joining, line-up, score, the game's chat | Player profile, availability, seats, results, messages | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for: finding games and playing. When you book a court by phone, your availability and your favourite clubs decide whether your «yes» to another time or another club counts and whether the booking can be made at another club without a new confirmation; your availability also decides whether your «yes» counts to another time proposed by the club from its console or by JOLE AI (at another club, together with your favourites), and then the court can be booked without anyone tapping (Player Terms, section 7). |
| Club tournaments: entry, club terms, note and times | Your entry, when and to which text you agreed to the club's terms, your note for the club, the times of the tournament when you can't play | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) | It is the entry you make in the club's tournament. Only the club sees the note and the times, to make the match schedule; you clear them while entries are open, and they are deleted when you withdraw or delete your account. |
| Lessons with a club coach: request, confirmation, cancellation, group lesson | Your name, the level category your profile shows (for a group lesson), the lesson, the coach, the time, the court, your note to the club, the students' seats | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for: booking a lesson with a club's coach. The club gets only what it needs to expect you on court (Player Terms, section 7). |
| Coach assessment after a lesson | The coach and the club, the lesson and its date, the level category, what the coach wrote | Legitimate interest | So that you know how your lesson's coach saw you, and the club where you take lessons knows it too. It does not change your level and decides nothing in the app. |
| Coach account at a club | The link with the club and the permissions, your answers to the requests for your lessons, the assessments you record | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for when you link your account to the club: seeing your lessons, and answering or assessing with the club's permission (Player Terms, section 7). |
| Lessons with an independent coach: request, acceptance, decline, cancellation, court | Your name, the coach, the club, the time and duration, both sides' notes, the court the coach states | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for: finding a coach and agreeing the lesson. You make the lesson contract between yourselves. |
| «Ψάχνω προπονητή» (Looking for a coach): request, offers, choice | The area, days, hours, length, level and kind of the lesson, your note, the coaches' offers and what you answered | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for: coaches send you offers without you having to search. Coaches see the request without your name. |
| Independent coach profile and the requests it receives | Your coach profile (description, levels, languages, areas, clubs, price, hours), students' requests and your answers | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for when you become an independent coach: players find you and ask you for lessons (Player terms, section 7). |
| Independent coach trader details | Business name, address, phone, email, the tax identification number with its country, registration number, the compliance statement, the version of the terms you accepted, and for the latest approval when, by which team member and how they were checked | Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, together with Article 30 of the Digital Services Act) where it applies; otherwise legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) | Players have an interest in knowing which trader they are dealing with, and we must know who offers services through the app. Players see all of this on the coach's card except the tax identification number and the record of the check, which only the JOLE team sees. |
| Decisions about independent coach applications and profiles: rejection, suspension, termination of the partnership | The decision, the ground in the terms, the reasons (also in English when your app is set to another language at the time of the decision), when it applies, the team member who made it | Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, together with Article 17 of the Digital Services Act and Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150) | We must give reasons for every decision that restricts or ends the partnership, and the coach must be able to read it and ask for a review (Player terms, section 7). |
| Age declaration | When you declared «I am at least 18 years old» and the version of the terms; when you declared that you are under 18 | Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) | Accounts and participation in games are allowed only for people aged 18 and over (Player terms, section 3). We keep only that the declaration was made, not anything that proves it. |
| Under-18 account procedure | Who started it (the user or the platform), what the platform's marking relied on (a report, a support request or a club's notice) with its number, the account's deletion date, the departures that were made and the support request that was opened | Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) | So that the 18-year limit is kept, minors are protected and the others' games are not spoiled (section 11). The record of the decision holds no description of the person or of the report, only its number. Deleting the account deletes the declaration, the marking and the date; what stays is the support request (which says that an age under 18 was declared or marked), like every support request, and, when the platform made or lifted the marking, the record of that decision (when, which team member, what it relied on and the number), for 730 days from the decision. |
| A spot in a game from a link, without an account | The name you enter, gender only in a men's, women's or mixed game, the hash of the spot's key, the version of the terms in force, when you declared that you are at least 18, and whether you chose to be remembered by the browser (when, until when, and whether you revoked it) | Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) | It is your agreement with JOLE for that spot: to hold it, show it to your teammates and let you manage it (section 13). |
| Recurring weekly game: each week's game, the members' answers, the group chat | The series members, day, time and club, each week's answers, messages | Performance of a contract | It is the service the organiser and those who accepted the series asked for: the same game every week with the same group (section 14). |
| Invitation to a recurring weekly game, before you answer | Your name and photo as on your card, the invitation and your answer | Performance of a contract | Invitations from other players are part of the service of your own account (Player terms, section 6). You are invited only by someone who played with you in the game the series started from, and you do not become a member unless you say yes. |
| Level: calculation, and entry to games and tournaments with a level range | Declared level, confirmed results of competitive games, reviews | Legitimate interest | So that games are fair for everyone who plays in them. |
| Reliability | No-show reports from other players of the same game, your objections and our decisions | Legitimate interest | So that the people who play with you know whether they can count on you turning up. |
| Parallel level calculation | Confirmed results | Legitimate interest | To check and improve how level is calculated before we use it. |
| JOLE Rating, rankings and rematches | Confirmed results of competitive games, your teammates and opponents in them, your city | Legitimate interest | So you know how you are doing against actual opponents, so we can suggest rematches, and so the community has rankings. |
| Achievements: your request to the club, its photo, hiding from your profile | The club, the title, the date, the place or the distinction, the category, the teammate you name, the photo, the club's decision and its reason | Performance of a contract | It is the service you ask for: to show on your profile an achievement with the club's official reference. |
| Achievements: when another player names you as their teammate | Your name in their request and your answer | Legitimate interest | So that an achievement two people won can be confirmed. Until you answer, only the player who named you and the club see you; if you say «no», you leave it. |
| Achievements the club awards or that come from the podium of one of its tournaments | The title, the date, the place or the distinction, the tournament, the holders, the club's photo | Legitimate interest | So that the results the club records in its tournaments can be shown. You hide it from your profile whenever you want, and you can object (section 10). |
| Suggested games and team-mates | Level, side, city, availability, favourite clubs | Legitimate interest | So that you find a game without searching on your own. |
| A game search you ask JOLE AI for («βρες μου παιχνίδι», find me a game) | Your request, level, side, cities, clubs and availability | Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) | You ask for this search for yourself, and this basis covers only your own data. The candidates JOLE AI finds and the invitations it sends them are assessed on their own basis, the row «Finding compatible players and sending JOLE AI invitations». Anyone you name yourself («invite Nikos») you invite as a person, as from the game's screen. Nothing from the search is used for advertising or targeting. |
| Finding compatible players and sending JOLE AI invitations to club games and vacant spots in recurring weekly games | Level, side, category, city and the areas where you play, the clubs where you have played, availability, and your habit: which day of the week and what time you usually play, from your games of the last 8 weeks, and whether the club's front desk has put you in one of its player groups | Legitimate interest | So that games fill with players who suit them, without each person searching alone. It covers the games of a club in your area, the vacant spots of recurring weekly games, and the games JOLE AI organises for another player. We use the data to choose candidates and to send the invitation; for a vacant spot in a recurring game, only players who have said they are available for the whole time of the game are invited. Never anyone who has blocked or said «όχι ξανά» (not again) about someone in the four, or the other way round. From all clubs together, at most 2 invitations a day and 6 in the last 7 days; the ones you accepted do not count. If you decline two within 7 days, we send you none for 3 days. Neither the club nor the organiser sees your availability or your habit. You object with the switch «Δέχομαι προσκλήσεις JOLE AI» (I accept JOLE AI invitations) in Notifications: when it is off, we do not choose you as a candidate and send you no such invitation, and we check it again at the moment of sending. Only invitations from clubs where you are not a member you turn off with the switch «Δέχομαι προσκλήσεις JOLE AI από clubs της περιοχής μου» (I accept JOLE AI invitations from clubs in my area). Invitations from people and updates about games you are already in are not affected. Why you would expect it: the invitation fits what you yourself declared in order to play (level, category, areas) and gives priority to the times you said you can play or usually play. It is a functional invitation to one specific game (day, time, club, open spot), not promotional communication: it contains no offers, advertising or partner content, and JOLE sends no promotional messages to players. You can ask for a summary of the balancing we carried out at hello@jolepadel.com. |
| Community: posts, comments, messages, follows | What you publish or write | Performance of a contract | It is the service you use when you publish or write. |
| Material from the camera | The photo or video you publish | Performance of a contract with whoever publishes it | Your device's camera and microphone permission is technical: it allows the capture, it is not a legal basis. The capture stays on your device until you publish it. |
| People who appear in someone else's material | Their image or voice | Legitimate interest: letting players share moments from their games | Whoever publishes must have the consent of the people who appear (Player terms, section 10). Anyone who appears without wanting to taps «Αναφορά» (Report) and chooses «Προσωπικά δεδομένα χωρίς συναίνεση» (Personal data without consent); a person on the JOLE team reviews the report and removes the material when there is no consent. |
| Location | The city that was found; the coordinates are not stored | Performance of a contract | You ask for it with «Χρησιμοποίησε τη θέση μου» (Use my location). Your device's location permission is technical. |
| Security and abuse prevention | Sign-in events, a fingerprint of the IP address, sending limits, logs, error reports | Legitimate interest | To protect your account and the service from abuse and to fix faults. |
| Reports and content moderation | The report, the content it concerns, the decision and its statement of reasons | Legal obligation (Digital Services Act) | We must accept reports and give reasons for our decisions. |
| Support | Your request and our replies | Performance of a contract | To answer you. |
| Linking with clubs | Mobile number, your record at the club | Legitimate interest | So that your games and bookings at the club show in your account, without a second record. |
| App and notifications, as clubs see them | Where you last opened the app (installed or browser) and when, and whether notifications are on for invitations and messages | Legitimate interest | So that a club inviting you to a game or writing to you knows whether it will reach your phone. The club sees only yes or no, never the date or the device. |
| JOLE AI and, for those who have it, the JOLE Player AI subscription | Your messages to JOLE AI and your answer to the permission for OpenAI; name, email and subscription details where there is a subscription | Performance of a contract | It is an app feature you ask for, and the service bought by anyone who has a subscription. What you write is sent to OpenAI only with your explicit permission (section 6). |
| Tax records of payments | Payment details | Legal obligation | Tax law requires them. |
| Personalised feed | What you watch and for how long, the topics you choose | Consent | It builds an interest profile, so it happens only if you say yes (section 4). |
| Partner referral measurement | The partner's code, the version of the notice, when you agreed, when the account was created, whether you played a completed game within 90 days | Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) | It happens only if you tap «Συμφωνώ» (I agree) before signing up, and you withdraw it whenever you like (section 15). |
| Notifications | Your device's notification subscription | Consent | You turn them on and off yourself, by type. |
| YouTube player | Your answer, and what Google receives after you accept | Consent | Google content loads only if you accept (section 7). |
The JOLE Rating is a separate number from your level: it does not change your level and does not keep you out of any game or tournament. The parallel level calculation does not change your level today and does not restrict anything. If we switch on the evaluation period that relies on it, then while the period lasts it will limit how many open competitive games you can have. We will write that here and tell you before it happens. The achievements a club confirms or awards change neither your level nor your JOLE Rating, and do not keep you out of any game or tournament.
Profiling: level, reliability and JOLE Rating
Level and reliability are calculated automatically and affect what you can do in the app. That is why we tell you the rules, the consequences and what you can do if you disagree.
- Level: the rules. You declare your starting level yourself, directly or through the sign-up questionnaire. After that it changes only with confirmed results of competitive games or with a recorded review by a club assessor. A coach assessment after a lesson and achievements do not change it.
- Level: the consequences. In a game with a level range you join directly only if your level is within the range; otherwise the players already in it must approve. In a tournament with level categories you can enter only if your category is among them, and with no level on your profile you cannot enter. JOLE AI suggests for games only players who have a level and a public card.
- Reliability: the rules. You start at 100%. When two different players of the same game report, after it has ended, that you did not turn up, the absence is confirmed and you lose 3 points. One report on its own does not count.
- Reliability: the consequences. Below 90%, those who can see your reliability see «ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ» (caution) next to it. In JOLE AI's game suggestions to clubs, the average reliability of the four raises the suggestion's score. It does not exclude you from any game.
- Your rights. You see your reliability, the rules and every confirmed absence in Settings, under «Η αξιοπιστία μου» (my reliability). When an absence of yours is confirmed, we notify you in the app with when and where. If you disagree, you tap «Διαφωνώ» (I disagree): a person on the JOLE team reviews your objection and can reverse the absence (the points come back) or keep it, telling you why. For your level, if you disagree, you ask a club assessor for a review or write to us.
- JOLE Rating: the rules. It is calculated automatically from confirmed results of competitive games with four registered players. Friendly games do not count. Each result moves you according to how expected it was: a win against stronger opponents counts for more. While you have few games or few different opponents, your rating is provisional and moves more. How one-sided the score was does not count. You start at 1500.
- JOLE Rating: the consequences. It decides only your place in the community rankings; we suggest a rematch when you lose a game that counted, not on the basis of the number. It does not keep you out of any game or tournament and does not change your level. You enter the rankings once your rating is no longer provisional and you have played a competitive game that counted in the last 60 days.
- JOLE Rating: your rights. You see your rating and how it changed after each game. You can hide from the rankings at any time. A score counts only once the other side confirms it or 48 hours pass without objection; if the other side disagrees, it enters its own score and the club (for a game with its booking) or a person on the JOLE team resolves the disagreement. When a result is corrected or cancelled, ratings are recalculated for everyone, and the change is recorded. You can also object to the processing (section 10).
6. Who else receives data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
- Render: hosting of the application and its cache, with servers in Frankfurt.
- Neon: the database, in Frankfurt.
- Cloudflare R2: storage of photos and videos, in a location under European Union jurisdiction.
- Cloudflare: the network that requests pass through on their way to our hosting (through Render). It sees your IP address and the requests, in order to carry them and protect the service from attacks.
- Sentry: alerts our team when something breaks in the application. It receives the technical trace of the error, the path of the request and account and club identifiers; not names, emails, mobile numbers, message texts or the values being written to the database. It keeps the reports in the European Union.
- Yuboto: the SMS with the confirmation code at registration. It receives your number and the text of the message.
- Papaki: our email provider, for emails with sign-in codes and updates about your account. It receives your email address and the text of the message; its servers are in Italy.
- Stripe: payment for the JOLE Player AI subscription, for those who had bought it (it is no longer sold). It receives your name and email and the card details you give directly to it. When you delete your account, we ask Stripe to delete your customer there too, without a second request from you, after first checking that it serves nothing else (an active subscription, an open invoice, a balance, or a link with a club or another account). If it does, we do not delete it automatically: a person on our team decides the case, and until then its data is not used for anything. Deletion at Stripe cannot be undone. Stripe keeps some data about the transactions that took place for its own legal obligations, such as tax obligations and fraud prevention, for the periods set out in Stripe's Privacy Policy; our own tax records stay as section 9 says.
- OpenAI: JOLE AI. It receives the message you write and what it needs to understand it: the days you can choose, the list of clubs, your level and city, your upcoming games and assignments. It receives no list of players and no player identifiers. If your message names a JOLE player, the name is replaced by a temporary label (Π1, Π2) before the message leaves, and we match the label back to the player ourselves. Anything else you write in the message is sent as you wrote it, so do not put there details that the game does not need. Most messages to JOLE AI are understood by the app on its own, and then nothing is sent to OpenAI. Before we send anything you write to OpenAI, the app asks for your explicit permission; without «Επιτρέπω» (Allow) nothing of yours is sent, and JOLE AI answers only with what the app understands. You change your answer whenever you like in Settings («JOLE AI και OpenAI» (JOLE AI and OpenAI)), and when the permission text changes we ask you again. The same permission is needed when, in a conversation with a club, you choose to have the club's JOLE AI answer you. OpenAI then receives the recent messages of that conversation (yours, JOLE AI's and the club front desk's), the club's public details (address and contact details, opening hours, courts, court price, booking policies), the club's open games without player names, and your own upcoming games there. When the conversation contains your name, the name of someone you follow or of someone playing in the club's open games, it is sent as a label here too. Without the permission, the conversation with the club goes to the club's people.
- Google and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them. From Google we also receive the address of your account's photo; the photo goes on your profile only if you keep it at registration.
- Meta (Facebook): only if you choose «Σύνδεση με Facebook» (sign in with Facebook). From Meta we receive your name, your account's email address (you confirm it with a code before it is written to your account), your profile photo (it goes on your JOLE profile only if you keep it at registration; otherwise we do not keep it) and an identifier that is valid only for JOLE. Nothing else: no friends list, no posts, and we publish nothing on Facebook. Meta learns that you signed in to JOLE with your account. The Meta Privacy Policy applies.
- YouTube (Google): the thumbnails and videos of the feed that come from YouTube, only after you accept (section 7).
- Your device's push service (Apple, Google): if you enable notifications, the message passes through your browser or operating system vendor's service. In the App Store app this is Apple (Apple Push Notification service) and in the Google Play app it is Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging): they receive an identifier of your device for notifications, and the title and text of each notification.
- Clubs and other players: as in section 3.
7. YouTube
The video feed includes videos from YouTube, and the app uses YouTube API Services. Before the first video we ask you: until you accept, the app loads nothing from YouTube or Google, not even the thumbnails — in their place you see a neutral JOLE image served from our own servers — so Google does not receive your IP address through us. After you accept, thumbnails load from YouTube's image server, videos play in YouTube's player, through its restricted-tracking domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and your device communicates with Google's servers. You can withdraw the acceptance at any time: Profile → Settings → «Βίντεο YouTube» (YouTube videos). The Google Privacy Policy applies. We do not connect to your YouTube account and we receive no data from it.
What we receive from YouTube API Services. For the public videos in the feed: the video and channel identifiers, the title, the description, the channel name, the duration, the publication date, the tags, the language, the dimensions, and whether the video allows embedding or has restrictions (age, country, “made for kids”). For a live broadcast that a player connects: whether it is on air, when it started or will start, how many people are watching it on YouTube, and the channel name. These are public YouTube details; none of them is about you.
How we use them. To show the video feed and the Live tab, and to keep in the feed only videos that are about padel and may play inside JOLE. Of YouTube's statistics we keep only a broadcast's viewer count while it is live, and delete it when it ends; we do not keep video view or like counts. The like and comment counts you see on YouTube videos inside JOLE are JOLE's, not YouTube's.
Where and for how long. In our database, in the European Union. We refresh them from YouTube at least every 30 days; anything not refreshed within 29 days is deleted automatically, and only the video's identifier remains.
Who we share them with. No third party. Users of the app see them in the feed.
On your device. The app keeps on your device only your answer about the YouTube player. After you accept, YouTube's player may store or read information on your device (cookies or similar technologies), under the Google Privacy Policy; you can delete it from your browser or device settings.
What you do in JOLE on YouTube videos (likes, saves, comments, and views when you have turned on the Personalised feed) is JOLE data, not YouTube data, and is deleted with your account. Deleting it here does not affect anything on YouTube.
8. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Hosting and the cache (Render), the database (Neon), file storage (Cloudflare R2) and error reports (Sentry) are in the European Union. The following process, or may process, data outside the EEA:
- OpenAI, in the United States;
- Stripe, Google and Apple, in the United States;
- Meta, if you sign in with Facebook: the contract is with Meta Platforms Ireland, which may transfer data to the United States;
- Cloudflare, which carries requests across its global network;
- Sentry, a US company: the reports stay in the European Union, but its staff may access them from the United States;
- the notification service of your device's browser or operating system, if you turn on notifications.
Where a transfer outside the EEA takes place, it is covered by the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework when the provider is certified under it, and otherwise by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask for a copy of the safeguards for each provider at hello@jolepadel.com.
9. How long we keep it
- Account and profile: for as long as you have an account. When you delete it, what the Data deletion page says applies.
- JOLE Rating: your current JOLE Rating, record and head-to-head results are deleted with your account. The values per game stay as game history under the same retention rule as results, because the other players' ratings are calculated from them too.
- Sessions: they expire by themselves after a long period of inactivity or when you sign out.
- Personalised feed measurements: viewing events are deleted automatically after 90 days and feed sessions after 7 days. The interest profile stays while the switch is on; when you turn it off or delete your account, it is deleted together with all the measurements.
- Videos, photos, comments: until you delete them or delete your account. Stories stop being shown to others when they expire, and their file is deleted one day after expiry (the app has no archive of expired stories), unless you added it to a collection or a report about it is being examined.
- Messages: for as long as the conversation exists, so that the other participants can see it. If you delete your account, what you sent stays with the people you talked to for 180 days and is then deleted.
- Sign-in events: 365 days, for account security and abuse investigation; then they are deleted automatically.
- One-time codes: the code itself (as a hash) is deleted as soon as it is used or expires. Which email or mobile number it was sent to, and when, stays 7 days from sending: sending limits look back at most 24 hours, and the week is needed to see repeated abuse.
- Registrations: once a registration is completed, its data (name, email, mobile number) is deleted from it, because it now lives in your account. A registration left halfway expires in 24 hours and is deleted 7 days later, for the same reason as the codes.
- A spot in a game from a link, without an account: the hash of the key and the gender for 7 days, and the name for 30 days, from the game's scheduled end, or from its cancellation if it was cancelled earlier (section 13).
- Lessons: for as long as you have an account. When you delete it, your seats in lessons and your note to the club are deleted at once; the booking stays in the club's schedule without a link to your account (Data deletion, section 7).
- Coach assessments: the ones you received, for as long as you have an account; when you delete it, they are deleted at once. A newer one from the same coach replaces the previous one, which stays as history without being shown anywhere, until your account is deleted. When you remove an assessment, the category and the text are deleted at once; only the fact that it was removed stays, so that the coach cannot write a new one for the same lesson, until your account is deleted. The ones you wrote as a coach stay with the students and the club under your name at the club; when you delete your account, the account is removed from them. When a club is permanently deleted from JOLE, they are deleted with it.
- Link as a coach: for as long as it stands; when it ends, it stays with the club as history (when you linked, when and by whom it ended), and your account is removed from it when you delete it.
- Achievements: the ones the club confirmed or awarded stay for as long as they have a holder. A request that was not answered is deleted 180 days after it was sent, and an achievement the club refused or revoked is deleted 365 days after the decision, together with its photo. An achievement we remove after a report loses its photo at once and is deleted like the ones a club revokes. When you withdraw a request, it is deleted at once with its photo; when you say «no» as a teammate, you leave at once. When you delete your account, your requests that were waiting are deleted, you leave every achievement, any achievement left without a holder is deleted, and the photo you uploaded is deleted even if the achievement stays with your teammate.
- Lessons with an independent coach: for as long as you have an account. When you or the coach delete the account, your shared lessons and their notes are deleted at once.
- «Ψάχνω προπονητή» (Looking for a coach) requests: while they are open, and for 90 days after they close (a choice, a withdrawal or expiry), together with their offers; then they are deleted. A lesson made from a request stays like any lesson with an independent coach. When you delete your account, your requests and the offers you sent as a coach are deleted at once.
- Independent coach application: the profile, the trader details and the decisions while you are an independent coach, and for 6 months after the relationship ends (rejection, withdrawal, termination of the partnership or deletion of your account); then the whole application is deleted. If you delete your account, the profile is deleted at once, and the trader details stay without a link to the account until the end of the same period. If you apply again after a relationship ends, the details, the decisions and the record of the check of the previous one are kept separately, for 6 months from its own end.
- Under-18 account: until the deletion date the app shows, 14 days after the declaration or the marking; after that the account deletion applies (section 11).
- Recurring weekly games: as section 14 sets out — an active series while it runs, the history of a series that ended for up to 12 months, declined or expired invitations for up to 30 days, the weeks' records for up to 90 days, group chat messages for up to 12 months or 90 days after the series ends, whichever comes first.
- Partner referral: the link between your account and the partner for up to 90 days from sign-up, or until you withdraw or delete the account if that comes first; after that only totals with no identifier remain (section 15).
- Payments: tax records, 5 years from the end of the year of the payment.
- Your Stripe customer after account deletion: the customer's code while the case is open (section 6); after that only when it closed and with what result, for as long as the tax records, as proof that it was done.
- Backups of the database: up to 7 days, then they are replaced.
10. Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent. You can do much of this yourself from the app's Settings; for the rest write to hello@jolepadel.com or see the Data deletion page. We respond within one month.
You do not need an account to exercise your rights. If you joined a game from a link without an account, write to hello@jolepadel.com saying which game it was (the link, or the day, time and club) and the name you entered. We will ask only for what we need to confirm that the spot is yours, not for an identity document.
If you believe we mishandled your data, you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
11. Minors
Creating an account and taking part in games and lessons through JOLE are allowed for people who are at least 18 years old; the same applies to joining a game from a link without an account. Consent of a parent or guardian is not provided for. We ask for a declaration, not a document: we keep only when it was made and which version of the terms applied.
If someone declares, or we learn, that they are under 18:
- At once, they leave everything they arranged for the future (games that have not started, lessons and lesson requests, JOLE AI matchmaking proposals, waiting lists, requests, tournaments including clubs' tournaments, recurring weekly games, JOLE AI searches, declared availability, achievement requests waiting for the club), and they leave other players' achievements where they were named as a teammate and had not answered. The others' game goes on with their spot open, and teammates learn only that they left, not why. If they were linked as a coach at a club, the account is unlinked, and the club learns it without the reason. A support request is opened so that a person can check what was settled and a mistaken declaration can be corrected.
- Until deletion, the account is restricted: it does not take part or take any action on games, lessons or tournaments, including as an organiser, does not send achievement requests, does not publish, change its profile photo or write to others, and other players neither see it (search, lists, suggestions, profile, achievements, a private conversation with it) nor write to it; its spot stays in the history of games already played. Support (also for a copy of the data), settings, leaving and deletion remain. We do not suggest or invite it anywhere.
- Deletion happens automatically 14 days after the declaration or the marking, on the date the app shows, in the same way as when someone deletes their own account (Data deletion): only what stays for every deleted account remains (shared games, messages to others, support requests, payment records), each for its own period. The age declarations and the marking are deleted from the account; for the procedure only what section 5 says stays (the support request and the record of the platform's decision).
- Marking by the platform follows a report (category «Χρήστης κάτω των 18 ετών», User under 18), a support request or a club's notice. We record only which of the three it relied on and its number, not a description of the person. The user learns it in the app's Activity, with the deletion date, and if it is a mistake the marking is lifted before deletion through the support request.
12. Security
Communication with the app and with the database is encrypted. Session keys and one-time codes are stored only as hashes. The session cookie cannot be read by the page's code. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: they are stored on our servers so that they appear in the conversation.
13. Joining a game from a link, without an account
When a player sends you a game link, you can hold a spot in it without a JOLE account. The service is provided by AUDIVION L.P. (section 1).
What we keep.
- The name you enter yourself.
- Your gender, only when the game is a men's, women's or mixed game, to check that you fit in it (and, in a mixed game, so that each team has one man and one woman).
- A random key is stored in your browser so that JOLE can recognise your spot and let you manage it. Our servers store only a cryptographic hash of that key. The key shows only that the browser holding it holds the spot; it does not prove who you are. We do not use it for measurement, referrals, advertising or any other purpose.
- The version of the participation terms in force when you tapped «Συμμετέχω» (Join), and when you declared that you are at least 18 years old.
- Whether you chose to be remembered by the browser: when you chose it, until which date, and whether you revoked it.
The spot's cookie. By default the key is kept in a session cookie: it is removed when you close the browser. Separately, with an option that is not pre-selected, you can choose: «Να θυμάται αυτός ο περιηγητής τη συμμετοχή μου έως [ημερομηνία]. Με την επιλογή αυτή αποδέχομαι την αποθήκευση cookie σε αυτόν τον περιηγητή, για να επιστρέφω στη συμμετοχή μου χωρίς νέα αναγνώριση.» (Remember my participation in this browser until [date]. By choosing this I accept that a cookie is stored in this browser so that I can return to my participation without being identified again.) The same cookie then stays until that date, which is 7 days after the game's scheduled end and is shown as a concrete date before you choose: as long as you need to see the result and make the spot yours. It is not extended when you come back, and if the game is cancelled or moved earlier it expires earlier. The basis for this optional retention is your consent. You revoke it from the spot's page, with one tap, and the cookie becomes a session cookie again. Whether you do not choose it, revoke it, or the cookie is lost, your spot stays held; you may simply not be recognised automatically on a later visit. If you lose management access, contact the organiser. The game link that players share does not give anyone the right to manage your spot. Whether a key is valid is decided by the server, per participation, whatever the cookie's date.
We do not ask for an email address, a mobile number or a document, and the spot does not contain your IP address, device or location.
Your IP address. The record of the spot does not contain an IP address. To prevent abuse, we count how many requests come from the same IP address to the spot's pages, with three temporary counters: up to 60 reads per minute, and for entering, leaving and the keep option up to 5 per minute and up to 20 per hour. Each counter deletes itself when its window closes: the per-minute counter one minute after the first request of the window, the per-hour counter one hour after. The counters live in the server's temporary memory (cache), under a key derived from the IP address (a hash, not anonymisation); they are not written to the spot or to any other record of ours.
Separately from the counters, the hosting provider and the network that carries requests (section 6) keep, as for every visit, basic infrastructure logs with the IP address, with their own retention periods.
Who sees your name. The other players of the game and, when the game is at a club with a JOLE console, the club's front desk. The player who opened the game is notified that you joined, with your name. Anyone who opens the link sees the game card without the players' names.
What does not exist without an account. We do not send you notifications, give you a level, reliability or a JOLE Rating, or suggest or invite you to other games.
Leaving. You leave from the spot's page, from the same browser while the relevant cookie still exists, until the game starts. When the four is complete and the court is confirmed, you cannot leave from the page: you talk to the organiser, who can remove your spot. This is a rule of taking part in the game (Player terms, section 18) and does not limit your rights over your data (section 10).
How long we keep it. The hash of the key and the gender are needed for a short while after the game: so you can see the result and make the spot yours if you create an account, and for the category that was checked when you joined. We delete them 7 days from the game's scheduled end, or from its cancellation if it was cancelled earlier, and from that moment the key no longer opens anything. The name is needed a little longer: so your teammates know who they played with and a question about the line-up or the score can be resolved. 30 days from the same starting point, your name is replaced with «Guest» in the spot, the game's history and the notifications within JOLE that mentioned it. The game and the other players' details remain. If the game is moved to a new date, the periods run from the new end. Replacing the name does not make your participation anonymous for people who already knew you played. We delete them earlier if you ask (section 10).
Moving the spot to an account. If you create an account or sign in from the same browser, while the relevant cookie still exists, and tap «Κάνε τη θέση δική σου» (Make the spot yours), the spot moves to your account. Both are needed, a signed-in account and the spot's key, and the same spot never moves to a second account. The hash of the key and the gender you gave as a guest are then deleted immediately, the cookie is removed from the browser, and the account's rules apply to your participation. We keep the name you had entered with the account, only so that it too is removed from game histories if you delete your account.
Legal basis. The legal basis for joining the game and managing your spot is the performance of your agreement with JOLE for this service, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. You make the agreement when you tap «Συμμετέχω» (Join) (Player terms, section 18). We do not ask for your consent for the spot; we ask for it only for the optional retention of your participation in the browser, with the option «Να θυμάται αυτός ο περιηγητής…» (Remember…).
Your rights you exercise without an account, as section 10 says.
14. Recurring weekly game
After a completed game, one of the four can make it a recurring weekly game: the same day, time and club every week. That person becomes the organiser of the series.
When you create a recurring weekly game or accept membership of the series, we use the necessary membership information, weekly responses and group chat to provide this service. After the series permanently ends, we retain only its necessary history for up to 12 months. Messages and individual game history follow the separate retention rules described below in this section.
Accepting the series. The other players of the game the series started from receive an invitation. You become a member only if you explicitly answer yes to the series; a yes to a single game does not make you a member. Until you answer you are invited: the others see you as invited, not as a member, you do not see the group chat and you are not invited to the weekly games. The invitation expires if you do not answer within 7 days from when it was sent; after it expires a yes is not accepted, not even from an old link or a screen left open. Silence does not make you a member.
Every week. A few days before, the week's game opens as the organiser's game and the members receive an invitation. You answer for that specific week; you get a place in the game only when you accept it. You answer by the deadline the invitation shows, at the latest by the start of the game; the server checks the deadline, the free spot and whether you fit at the moment you accept. A «Δεν μπορώ» (I can't) for one week, or silence, does not take you out of the series; silence is not acceptance either.
Who sees what. The group sees who the members are and who has been invited (name, and photo under the rules of your card), who organises, and what each one answered for the week. We do not share your overall JOLE availability with the other members. They can see your response for the specific weekly game.
Substitute. When a spot in a week's game remains vacant, JOLE AI can invite a substitute under the rules of section 5 (finding compatible players and JOLE AI invitations): only players who have said they are available for the whole time of the game, who match in level, category and area, and who have not turned off the switch «Δέχομαι προσκλήσεις JOLE AI» (I accept JOLE AI invitations). We check the switch again shortly before each invitation is sent, including when an automatic scheduled job sends it. The substitute's invitation is valid for the earlier of its own duration and the acceptance deadline it shows, and at the latest until the game starts. The substitute takes part only in that week's game: they do not become a member of the series and do not see the group chat. Updates about a game you have already accepted are separate from these invitations and are not stopped by the switch. With the switch off we do not even choose you as a candidate; it is not only that we do not notify you. The invitation concerns only that specific game and contains nothing else: no offer, advertising or partner content.
The group chat. Only active members read it and write in it; the server checks this on every read and every send. A new member also sees the messages written before they joined. Anyone who leaves or is removed loses access immediately; the messages they sent remain for the others, under the retention rules below. If you delete your account, your messages remain with the people you talked to for 180 days with the sender shown as «Παίκτης» (Player) and are then deleted. Changing the sender's name is not anonymisation: the message itself can show who wrote it. Whatever someone writes inside a message (a name, a phone number) remains as written until the message is deleted; write only what is needed for the game, and for anything about you that you do not want there, write to us (section 10).
End of membership. You leave whenever you like. The organiser stops the series whenever they like, and the series stops by itself after consecutive weeks in which it was not played. If a member blocks or says «όχι ξανά» (not again) about another member, the one who said it leaves the series. If the organiser deletes their account, the series stops opening new games; stopping the repetition does not delete games that have already taken place.
Legal basis. For the organiser and the members who accepted, performance of a contract. For the invitation before you answer and for the substitute, as the table in section 5 says.
How long we keep it.
- An active series (settings, members, answers): while it runs.
- A series that ended permanently: its history for up to 12 months from the end; then it is deleted together with its members, its weeks' records and its chat.
- Invitations to the series that were declined or expired: up to 30 days from the refusal or the expiry.
- JOLE AI substitute invitations that were not accepted (declined, expired, withdrawn or left unanswered): up to 30 days from the game's scheduled end. Those that were accepted are your participation in the game and follow the rules for games.
- The records of opening and sending each week's game: up to 90 days from the week they concern.
- The group chat messages: up to 12 months from sending and, if the series ends, up to 90 days from the end. The earlier of the two dates applies; the periods are not added together.
- Each week's games are ordinary games and follow the rules for games: deleting the series does not delete games, results or other players' details.
- «Όχι ξανά» (not again) choices and blocks are kept separately, for as long as you keep them; deleting an old invitation does not undo them.
Deletions run in an automatic daily pass.
15. JOLE partners: referrals, commercial content, offers
JOLE partners are padel shops, importers and equipment brands that upload videos from their own JOLE accounts and have offers in the app.
Referral measurement, only with your consent. If you open the app from a partner's link and you do not have an account, before you sign up we ask «Να μετρήσουμε αυτή την παραπομπή;» (May we measure this referral?), with the choices «Συμφωνώ» (I agree) and «Συνέχεια χωρίς μέτρηση» (Continue without measurement). Opening the link, continuing to browse or accepting the terms is not consent. Without «Συμφωνώ» we do not store the code, do not link it to your account and measure nothing; sign-up and the app work normally, and partners' offers are available to you as to everyone.
If you agree to referral measurement, we temporarily link your new account to the referring partner's code. We use this link to measure your sign-up and whether you play a completed game within 90 days of creating your account. Performance reports show aggregate figures. We do not provide the partner with your account details or individual game history. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
- In your browser. With «Συμφωνώ», the code stays in the tab's storage (sessionStorage), together with the version of the notice and the time you agreed, for at most 24 hours. It is removed when sign-up completes or when the tab is closed, and the app never uses a value that has expired. Only the app in your browser reads it; we cannot remove anything from a browser that has not come back.
- New accounts only. We record the referral only on an account created at that moment, never on an account that already existed.
- The proof. We keep the purpose, the version of the notice you saw and the time you agreed, not your IP address or device details.
- The measurement. A completed game is what the app also counts on your profile, and it counts once. The JOLE team sees totals per partner and month (sign-ups, and how many of them played); when a total is below 3, the number is not shown, only that it is lower. The partner's own accounts see the same totals, under the same rule, on the partner's page inside the app; never account details or who came from its link.
- How long. The link between your account and the partner lasts at most 90 days from sign-up. After that no new game counts, the link is deleted, and only the totals remain, which contain no account or game identifier.
- Withdrawal. Profile → Settings → «Μέτρηση παραπομπής συνεργάτη» (Partner referral measurement) → «Ανάκληση συγκατάθεσης» (Withdraw consent). Measurement stops immediately and the link is deleted; what had already been counted remains only in the totals. The same happens if you delete your account.
- Older records. Before this question existed, the app recorded on a new account which partner it came from. Those records are not treated as consent, are not counted in any measurement and are not shown anywhere.
Commercial content. Videos and photos uploaded from a partner account are commercial communication and carry the label «Διαφήμιση · [partner's business name]» (Advertisement · [Business name]) wherever they are shown, together with the indication «Συνεργάτης JOLE» (JOLE Partner). The advertiser is the partner named in the label. The label is recorded at upload and stays, even if the partnership ends or the account is unlinked from the partner. These videos appear in the «Εξοπλισμός» (Equipment) tab of the feed (newest first, spread across partners), on the partner's profile, and in «Ακολουθείς» (Following) for people who have chosen to follow the partner; never in «Για σένα» (For you) or in the Community's «Όλα» (All). If you tap the label, you see «Σχετικά με αυτή τη διαφήμιση» (About this ad): the advertiser, who pays (today nobody: the partnership is free), where it appears, and that its display is not targeted using your personal data.
Pause and end. During a temporary pause, the partner's videos leave the «Εξοπλισμός» (Equipment) tab and its offers and banners are not shown. When the partnership ends, offers, banners, codes, links to the shop and new referrals stop, and the account is no longer shown as an active partner. Its videos are hidden from everyone except the account itself, unless the partner has given permission for them to remain visible; then they are shown with the label and the notice «Διαφημιστικό περιεχόμενο — η συνεργασία έχει λήξει» (Advertising content — the partnership has ended).
Offers. JOLE writes the offers, and they are published only in the form the partner approved in writing. They appear with the «Διαφήμιση» (Advertisement) label on Home (one a day, in turn, the same for everyone, when JOLE has turned this placement on and there is no partner banner), on the «Προσφορές συνεργατών» (Partner offers) page, in the strip of the «Εξοπλισμός» (Equipment) tab and on the partner's page, without targeting using your personal data. An offer may have an image, which comes from our own servers, not from the partner. They may mention prices and discounts; purchase and payment take place in the partner's shop, and JOLE does not sell equipment in the app. An offer's code is shown only to a signed-in player, which does not make it a personal discount. JOLE does not add your account details or account identifier to the link. When you visit the partner's website, processing on that website is governed by its own privacy and cookie notices.
Partner banners. Home may show, above «Από τα clubs σου» (From your clubs), a partner banner: an image from the partner with the «Διαφήμιση» (Advertisement) label and a link to its website. It is published only in the form the partner approved in writing. When there are banners, Home shows one a day, in turn, the same for everyone, in place of the offer of the day, without targeting using your personal data. The image comes from our own servers, not from the partner. The link opens the partner's website outside the app, under the same rule as offers: JOLE does not add your account details or account identifier to it. A banner may have a short message from the partner and, below it, a row of its products, with the partner's prices as the partner approved them. Their images also come from our own servers, and each product opens its page on the partner's website (or, without its own page, the banner's link), under the same rule. The purchase and the payment take place in the partner's shop; JOLE sells nothing inside the app.
Taps on partner offers, videos and banners. Showing offers and banners, copying codes and going to the shop do not require accepting statistical measurement. In the current version the additional measurement of these taps does not operate: when you tap «Αντιγραφή κωδικού» (Copy code), «Δες το στο κατάστημα» (See it in the shop) or a banner, the app sends nothing to our servers about that tap and keeps nothing on your device. Partner referral measurement, which happens only if you tap «Συμφωνώ» (I agree), is separate and does not change.
16. Changes
Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
